FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is your philosophy?
We help you heal and actually cure addiction by offering a safe and comfortable setting where you can address the underlying causes and imbalances. We believe the cure requires community support, focus and commitment by the appropriate team of professional experts.
Do you follow the twelve-step model?
If you would like to invite the 12-step model into your program we will support you in this. We do believe community support in aftercare is critical to your cure and success. We are not a "12-step facility" but we do support the recovery community.
Do you take insurance?
We do not process insurance for you, but will help you process it and give you a good invoice for your insurance company.
Do you have an aftercare plan?
Our aftercare plan is the most important part of treatment. We take it very seriously
What happens when I leave?
We recommend a sober coach accompany you back into your life and help you create the connections and support you need for success.

Do you allow pets?
We do not allow pets, but can help arrange pet sitting in the local community where you can visit your pet.
What are you visiting policies?
We support family and friends visiting often and regularly.
Can I request an off grounds pass?
In the later stages of our recovery program we encourage passes.
When you say, "cure" does that mean I can drink again in moderation?
No. We do not support the moderation philosophy. Drinking will remain destructive to you whether you think you can do it some or not at all.
Are you licensed to treat as dual diagnosis? Can you handle process addictions such as pornography, gambling or eating?
The clinical professionals you will be working with are experienced in all aspects of addiction and are licensed to treat them.
What is your success rate?
While "success" is hard to define in treatment we offer an unmatchable service guarantee at Seaside Recovery Centers.
Do you offer Detoxification?
Yes: your MD determines an individual’s Detoxification protocol, and that could be a hospital or residential Detoxification, depending on the Doctor's direction.
Do you have an MD/psychiatrist on staff?
There is an MD on call at all times for our facility. The State of California does not allow an MD to be on staff, but our MD's are familiar with our facility and visit regularly.
What makes you different from other transitional living centers?
Three things make us different
1. We offer a guarantee of your success. If you follow our program, your professional counselor’s advice and protocols then relapse in the first year; you may come back to one of our centers without additional charge.
2. You are offered three different affiliated residential programs at different prices points to allow the broadest possible opportunity for success.
3. Our residences share an integrated and highly skilled staff and a philosophy of constant learning and improvement. We believe addiction can be treated and cured and we are fiercely committed to this.
How many sessions will I receive while in treatment?
Each client is different, but should average at least 20 sessions per week of individualized treatment.
Why does outpatient treatment and transitional living cost so much?
Treatment is expensive because it is an intense concentration of resources on a very serious problem. If you think treatment expensive, think about the consequences if you don't get help.
Can you assure me that if I pay so much money, I will be cured?
We are so confident in our recovery program that we guarantee it. Whatever we could say about "cure rate", our guarantee speaks to it most effectively.
