Seaside Recovery Center
One of the first properties developed along this section of the Malibu Coast, chosen for its bluff front location centered on Zuma bay between the headlands of Point Dume and Point Luchesa; it enjoys a perfectly framed 180 degree ocean vista. Dolphins and whales are frequently seen in front of the property, as are surfers, swimmers and kite surfers.
Built in the late fifties, the Bluff house was fully renovated in 2003. Rebuilt with all new systems, chiseled limestone, oak floors, stone bathrooms, mahogany paneling and lots of glass; it’s a contemporary take on the Malibu beach house, rendered in luxury materials. Hand painted finishes, carved plaster and indirect lighting all work together to create a subtle and relaxed atmosphere.
Preservation of the 60 foot tall landmark palms was key during the renovation of the three and a half acre grounds. The large pool and spa is surrounded by palms and flowers, extensive flagstone patios, tropical gardens and broad lawns. Mature trees and shrubs envelope the property, ensuring privacy within the grounds of Malibu Beach Retreat.
